Smuggler's Page 6

What the hell is that!? Two more pages left! This is the last incomplete page that I'll be posting, But when all is said and done Ill post the finished lettered versions!

I had my phone wash away into the sea when I went the beach last weekend. I lost all my photos and contacts. This makes me sad. I got a new phone though, and dropped Verizon for a pre-paid as their service was expensive and there was no way for me to get a decent free phone.

Enjoy the page!

The Workspace

I thought I'd share a picture of my new workspace. It's one of the nicest I've had yet and I like it!

You can see the latest page of Smuggler's Run there on the desk! Just finished this afternoon!

The corkboard is a new addition for me. I started hanging up work in my old house, and I decided getting a board would be a good idea. I have the thumbnails, the script, and the previous two pages up there for reference if I need it.

Having a desk is a great thing. My last house I had just a small drawing board, no furniture at all, and plotting perspective or drawing from the floor wasn't exactly the best experience ever. I'm really looking forward to the new year at SCAD, I have tons of great classes and I'm excited to learn new stuff!

Cyberpunk Illustration

Aren't we all just jacked in all the time? I feel like it alot. Technology is a wonderful thing, but sometimes I think people are too attached to it.

This is just something new I did this afternoon, I'm feeling a little rusty around the edges, so I've been doing some practice stuf to get back in the flow.

Not half bad I guess?

Back to the Drawing Board and Raziel

The move is done! Everything has been unloaded, unpacked, set up, and taken care of. Now all there is to do is get a part time job while I'm doing full-time school. Should be easy right?

I won't try to get my hopes up, just work hard.

I haven't done much drawing the past 3 weeks. I finished the first half of the Smuggler's Run comic, and then got into move mode. I think its about time I get back to the drawing board and get crackin' on the last half!

I did upload scans of the first four pages to my deviantArt Gallery so feel free to check them out if you are interested. Once the whole thing is done I'll be lettering and posting it all up here as well as dA.

In the meantime, I thought I would share a fun sketch that I did recently and colored up!

BATMAN 80-PAGE GIANT 2011

Hey everyone!

I'm still alive, but without internet. The moving truck is a few days late, so I'm getting all my stuff tomorrow. It's annoying, but I'll deal.

I REALLY wanted to make this post however to recommend all of you to go pick up the

BATMAN 80-PAGE GIANT 2011 Comic issue at your local comic retailer!

My good friend Geoff Shaw was the penciller for one of the 10 page comics entitled "Fearless".

I saw some of the pencils as he was working on them, and they are great! Show some support! I know I will be!

Ill have some scans of my pages up sometime soon so you can all enjoy them!

The Move

Hey everyone!

I am writing this from the Savannah GA Starbucks on Broughton St! Yesterday was an intense long ride, and there have been shenanigans aplenty since we have arrived, but hopefully we'll get it all situated soon!

We had to tranquilize the cat for the 12 hour drive, as she absolutely hates cars and traveling. She managed to resist the medicine for the first few hours, and it wasn't until we increased the dose that she was willing to calm down and sleep.

The drive itself was relatively uneventful otherwise. We read about 7 chapters of Fellowship of the Ring, and listened to music. The traffic wasn't to bad and we got in around 10:15 PM.

I wish I could say that everything was totally perfect when we got home, but it really isn't, though fortunately its nothing that can't be fixed(hopefully).

The main issue right now is the air conditioning. One of the main benefits we had of picking this house is that it had central air and heat. Problem is, the AC isn't working properly, in fact it just may not be working at all! The air coming in isn't cold, and the inside of the house was up to 87 degrees, a whole degree higher than outside. Our landlady is being really nice though, and doing everything she can to try and get everything fixed up, she had an AC guy over this morning, and he is coming back tomorrow morning to try and fix more as it seemed to fail today. In the interim we have fans, which at least give us a little bit of circulation...

Only problem is that the cat is terrified of the fans. They must seem like huge strange birds, or alien creatures out to devour her. Only about an hour ago did she seem to be willing to enter the rooms with the ceiling fans, and even then she still eyed them with displeasure and wariness. I'm really hoping that she will be able to acclimate herself to them.

Other than that we are settling in ok, we did some shopping for necessities and picked up some cheap area rugs today for the wooden paneled living room and our bedroom. They look small, but I hope once all the furniture arrives in a few days they'll be the perfect size.

I'll be sure to update more once I get settled in and get our internet set up early next week.

Keep cool everybody!
